What does this mean for my relationship with Zip?
The partnership between WebBank and Zip does not substantively alter
your relationship with Zip.
Your Merchant Services Agreement (MSA) may require an addendum to
bring it in compliance with WebBank partnership guidelines. Your Account
Manager or Partner Support will reach out to you if this is the case.
Do I need to re-apply to be a Zip partner?
Nope! Your existing relationship with Zip will remain unchanged.
Do I need to change my store’s Zip integration?
You may be required to make changes to your Zip integration to ensure your Zip PDP and payment widgets meet partner bank disclosure guidelines.
In general, if you utilize the standard Zip plugin integration (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Magento 2), you will not have to make changes to your integration - your widget and checkout will update to the new disclosure guidelines automatically. For more information, scroll down to the section on standard plugin integrations.
If your integration does not use the standard Zip plugin or you offer Merchant Fee for Payment Plan (MFPP), you may be required to manually update your integration. For more information, please scroll down to the sections on non-plugin and MFPP integrations. If you need additional support with your Zip integration please reach out to your Account Manager or our Partner Support team.

What if I offer a Merchant Fee for Payment Plan (MFPP) to Zip users?
There are two types of MFPP integrations: non-cosmetic and cosmetic. Each integration requires a number of steps to bring the disclosure language in line with the new guidelines.
If you’re unsure which MFPP integration you have, please contact your Account Manager or our Partner Support team.
Non-cosmetic MFPP:
1. Remove ‘calculate-merchant-fee-for-payment-plan’ API call or js function to stop calculating MFPP
2. Remove 'merchant fee for payment plan’ from the body of the /authorize call
3. Remove the addition of the MFPP amount in the total ‘amount’
4. Undo any development work done to add an additional fee for Zip orders in the OMS
5. Remove the ‘merchant fee for payment plan’ line item at checkout
Cosmetic MFPP:
1. Remove ‘calculate-merchant-fee-for-payment-plan’ API call or js function to stop calculating MFPP
2. Remove the ‘merchant fee for payment plan’ line item at checkout
Widget:
1. Add: merchantId:"{merchantId}"
2. Remove: isMFPPMerchant
3. Remove: isServiceFeeMerchant
How does this change the Zip user experience?
New Zip users will see added partner bank disclosures when signing up with Zip. In addition to the existing Zip terms of service, these users will be required to agree to identity verification and the ability to repay.
New and existing Zip customers will also see new partner bank disclosures as they progress through the user checkout journey. These disclosures will outline the specific installment charges (if applicable), financing origination, and potential late fees.
Will this change how I reconcile my Zip transactions or how I use the Zip Merchant Portal?
If you offer the product formerly known as Merchant Fee for Payment Plan (MFPP), please reference the MFPP section above for integration information.
In the Zip Merchant Portal, your reporting elements will change based on what type of transactions are within the specified reporting range. If MFPP is present your reporting will stay consistent, however, if no MFPP is present all MFPP elements will be excluded from your reports. This will not
impact payouts.
If you do not offer MFPP and instead are assessed a merchant fee for each transaction, your reconciliation process will not change. You will still use the Zip Merchant Portal to view and export transactions and statements.
Will my payouts or Stripe account be impacted?
No, neither your payouts nor your Stripe account will be affected by the Zip x WebBank partnership.
As a reminder, we process payouts the next business day following a transaction. If an order is processed after 7:00pm ET, it will count as a next-day order and be processed as such. Note that transactions that occur Friday through Sunday will be included in Monday's payout. Additionally, any refunds that are processed will be applied as credits to your account.
